Readathon is an important part of our literacy and mathematics curriculum as well as a student fundraiser for the school. Readathon promotes fluency by challenging our students to focus on reading in quantity, and from a variety of genres.

As the Readathon progresses students collaborate to calculate the total pages read per day, per student, per grade and per school (and recalculate) until totals are agreed upon.

A portion of the proceeds raised is allocated to the Phoenix Early Act Club, where students research community service organizations and charities to make presentations and ultimately vote on the use of their collected funds.
