This Giving Tuesday, Help Us Save Lives in the Adult Industry

Since 2018, Pineapple Support has provided a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental space where adult content creators can access free and low-cost, sex-worker-friendly, kink-aware therapy, as well as 24/7 peer-to-peer support. But these life-saving resources come at a cost to the organization. On average, each client completes 11 therapy sessions, costing $1,097. With over 350 industry professionals using these services at any given time—and a 10% increase in applications year-over-year—the need continues to grow.

The mental health challenges within the adult entertainment industry are profound. More than 60% of creators have considered or attempted suicide, and many battle severe depression, anxiety, and isolation, often with no one to turn to. Right now in addition to the 350 currently accessing our resources, Pineapple Support has over 180 people on a waitlist for one-on-one therapy—an estimated $197,460 is needed to clear that list and provide these individuals with the support they deserve.

This Giving Tuesday, we aim to clear the waitlist and ensure that no one seeking help goes unnoticed or unsupported.
