The Piscataquis Regional Food Center's mission is to improve food security in Piscataquis County Maine and surrounding towns by connecting people with healthy sources of food. We're also working to boost the local agricultural economy by supporting farms and food entrepreneurs. Together with our community partners, PRFC reaches hundreds of people every month. The contribution you make today will help build and sustain the programs and services we provide to make sure everyone in our part of the world gets the food they need.

Here are just a few of our programs. Thanks for making them possible!

*FarmShare for HomeBound Seniors delivery program provides $50 of fresh, locally grown vegetables each summer to low-income adults who can't leave their homes.

* The PRFC "Spice Drive" helps make the foods people acquire at food cupboards healthier and more flavorful by providing them with a Spice of the Month and easy-to-make, affordable recipes.

* Our Hunger Awareness Campaign runs 12 months a year to help community members learn more about how they can help end hunger, including organizing drives to collect essential non-food items like kitchen utensils and toiletries.

* We provide Summer Meals Support each year to help schools, towns, and other agencies set up free summer meals programs and sites through The Maine Summer Meal Program.
