Our #1 priority is securing gallery space for 2021 programming. Your donations will help to make opening our new space possible.

It’s been a difficult year for the arts, in Kansas City and the rest of the world. Organizations are feeling the impact of the pandemic, with programming canceled, revenues lost, and giving down as patrons struggle to navigate their own crises. Though we remain optimistic for the future, we know there are obstacles to overcome before a new “normal” is realized.

What has NOT changed is plug’s commitment to bringing new art and artists to the attention of Kansas City audiences, and sparking important conversations about contemporary art and its role as an agent for change in the world. With the number of artist-run spaces shrinking, it is more important than ever to provide necessary outlets for the cultivation of creative work, independent of commercial consideration and free to the viewing public. But we cannot do it alone.

Please consider supporting plug with a tax-deductible contribution. Your donation directly supports our free programming, including gallery exhibitions of local and national artists, critique events, screenings, and critical dialogue. With your help, plug will continue on as an inclusive, community-engaged site for interaction with contemporary art.
