When the COVID-19 Pandemic temporarily shut down life as we knew it, the Prevention of Blindness Society of Metropolitan Washington recognized a need for support and positivity in our community. That's why we decided to expand our Low Vision Programs by starting weekly Low Vision Town Hall Call-In Meetings (moderated by low vision optometrists) for anyone to join, and expanded operations of our Low Vision Learning Center Information & Resource Hotline (301-951-4444), where our Low Vision Resource Specialists remain ready for your questions!

As we innovate to provide remote support for individuals with low vision, the support of people like you is critical. Now more than ever, we are committed to helping our neighbors with low vision in our community remain connected.

Help us continue helping individuals with low vision in this time of crisis by making a gift in support of our Low Vision Programs. Due to the pandemic, we had to cancel our early-Summer fundraising event, which would have provided critical support for our programs and services.

Your support will help ensure that our neighbors with low vision receive the critical emotional support and resource navigation they need.
