Looking Forward to Brighter Futures with PPP

by Prison Pet Partnership

2020 has been a strange and challenging year for all, especially those that are experiencing incarceration, and those faced with isolation due to mobility, health, or issues with PTSD. Though this year has certainly changed the way we do things at Prison Pet Partnership, we are so proud to have found ways to continue to serve our community through the human-animal bond.

This year we were able to:

  • Certify and place 3 new Service Dog Teams, including placement within a court-involved youth program
  • Re-certify 11 Service Dog Teams
  • Provide vet-care to service-dog clients in need of financial assistance due to COVID-19
  • Rescue, train, and place 12 pets in loving homes (Paroled Pet adoptions)
  • Provide in-person and remote learning opportunities for 16 incarcerated women at WCCW
  • Continue training of our 8 service dogs-in-training
  • Support several program graduates with post-release scholarship funds for education and supplies

Your support has an impact that reaches far and wide throughout our community. Join the annual global generosity movement, Giving Tuesday, on December 2nd with a gift to support the bright futures of our program participants, service dog clients, veterans, homeless pets, families, court-involved youth, and every life that our dogs touch.

Thank you for joining us in creating a brighter future for all this #GivingTuesday!
