Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. -Nelson Mandela

In 2014, we started our education sponsorship program, to match sponsors from around the world with children in our program who were desperate for an education. Over the last 3 years, we have seen almost 300 children be gifted with education. We firmly believe that education is key to breaking the cycle of poverty, and gives our kids a chance at a future.

My ultimate goal has always been for Project Yesu to open its own school. A place where the children in the village we serve can get a good, quality education without having to leave their community. Over the years I have been meeting with organizations, visiting schools and researching education in Uganda to learn all I can to create the best learning environment for our kids.

During our most recent trip to Uganda, God opened a door for us. A plot of land, exactly where we want it for a great price. I met with the landowner and shared with him what Project Yesu does, and what our plans are for the land. He agreed to sell us the land, but we have a quick turn around.

We only had 2 months from when we came back to the States to raise $13,500 to purchase the land and we did it in only 6 weeks! Which was amazing, and we are so incredibly thankful to everyone who contributed.

That was step one, now we are on to step two!

Step two is to build a boundary fence around the perimeter of the land, and to build a small office area for our Social Workers. To do that we need to raise $5,000. With each step that we achieve it takes us that much closer to seeing our dream of opening a school become a reality.

Will you come alongside us to help us reach this goal and start on this journey? No amount is too small (or too large) and because Project Yesu is a 501(c)3 all donations are tax deductible (as allowed by the law).
