Are you ready to make a difference that counts? This October, we're challenging you again to join Walk to Rise, an inspiring journey to support street children in Rwanda, who walk miles every day for a chance at a better future.

Why Walk?
In 2017, Rising Above the Storms (RAS) established a Learning Center that has become a lifeline for street children aged 10-20. There, they receive counseling, warm meals, clothes and are helped to return to school. But their journey to the Center isn’t easy—some walk up to 5 miles each way.

Walk to Rise:
Throughout October, we're asking you to walk 60 miles—just 2 miles a day. Each step you take echoes the trek these children endure. But it’s more than just a walk; it’s a statement of solidarity and a powerful way to raise funds for their ongoing needs.

How You Can Help:

Walk Solo: Lace up your sneakers and take on the challenge at your own pace.
Join a Team: Rally your friends, family, or coworkers and walk together.
Sponsor a Walker: Not up for walking? Support someone who is and contribute to the cause!

Your Impact:
Every mile you walk will help provide warm meals, school supplies, basic needs after-school programs, and more for over 120 students across our programs. Together, we can ensure these children not only rise above their circumstances but also reach new heights in education and life.
