Neighborhood House’s original COVID-19 Emergency Fund was created to help our neighbors through the immediate crisis. Now, we all know the impact of COVID-19 in our community will last much longer than just a few weeks or months. In order to meet the needs of our local households into the rest of 2020, our new goal is set at $914,000. This amount reflects an increased need in the community and accommodates for canceled food drives and fundraising events. You can help your neighbors in need without leaving your home. Please consider making a contribution to our COVID-19 Emergency Fund today.

More than 25% of households in the immediate area we serve are food or income insecure. What does that mean? They cannot put enough food on the table, or are one paycheck away from disaster. Since COVID-19 hit, Neighborhood House has seen the number of people coming for assistance double.

Your donations are essential to help feed the families who have been overwhelmed by this pandemic. Along with immediate food needs, once the moratorium on evictions are lifted there will be an even greater increase of neighbors in need.

Neighborhood House is a crucial resource during these uncertain times. Neighborhood House’s mission is to walk the path toward self-sustainability with our neighbors during times of hardship.

Neighborhood House offers wrap around services including:

Food assistance

Clothing assistance

Rent and utility assistance

Transportation

Counseling

Employment Initiative

Educational classes

Special programs

As we practice physical distancing, we can remain connected through kindness and generosity even without physical proximity. There is no reason that our physical separation means we can’t provide the financial, emotional and social supports that nurture our families and communities.

Thank you in advance for your generous support.
