FLAG (Front Line Appreciation Group) is a grassroots effort across the U.S. that's dedicated to helping feed our local front line health care workers during the coronavirus pandemic, while also supporting our local restaurants.

Spearheaded in Sarasota by Wendy Rossiter, she's teamed up with the Sarasota Police Foundation to spread the word and help raise funding. The premise is simple . . . you donate a few dollars to show your appreciation for the Covid-19 Front Line (nurses, EMT's doctors) that are fighting to save lives and keep everyone safe - FLAG uses the funds to purchase meals from local restaurants at discounted prices, and delivers those meals to the Front Line workers as a way to say thank you and show the community's support and appreciation for all they're doing. Restaurants keep their doors open, and hard working people who are truly making a difference in our community get a few minutes to eat and recharge.

Thanks to the amazing generosity of our community, we're able to continue supporting the women and men who take care of all of us. In response, we've raised our goal, and will continue to recognize and thank the Front Line health care and emergency response workers who are making a difference for all of us in Sarasota.
