Every summer our campers have the opportunity to participate in one of two of our long-standing traditions, the Blueberry Island Swim + Rock Wall Climb.
This year we’re excited to announce that when they partake in these events, they will be doing so for SCOPE (Summer Camp Opportunities Promote Education). For 27 years SCOPE has provided over 25,000 children of low-income families with the chance to experience overnight summer camp at one of their nonprofit, ACA Accredited SCOPE partner camps.
During our 2nd annual KMKW Swim4SCOPE and Climb4aCause, on Thursday, July 5, our Upper Camp will have the opportunity to participate in one of two events to help raise awareness for SCOPE. Throughout this day we will share SCOPE’s mission and core values so our campers can gain a better understanding that not everyone is as fortunate to be able to enjoy the life-changing experiences that summer camp offers.
For every camper who completes the Blueberry Island swim, and for every camper who completes the rock wall climb under 60 seconds, KenMont/KenWood will make a donation, per camper, to #SupportSCOPE!
Please join us as we help to give the gift of summer camp to less fortunate children around the US.
