The future vision of the Skatium is a year-round, multi-function facility that will support recreational sports, concerts, markets, and a myriad of other activities based on community needs.

The two most important improvements required to enable this are a refrigerated concrete surface and a roof. In winter, these two things alone will enable Skatium to remain open with skatable ice for up to five months. In other seasons, they will enable a multitude of other sports and events to be held, even in the rain.

Our ultimate dream is to have an endowment that funds SKATIUM operations indefinitely as a vital community resource.
