Spark* SF Public Schools deeply appreciates the tremendous outpouring of community support we have received in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

SFUSD has extended school closures through the end of the school year to ensure the health and wellbeing of our students and community, underscoring the urgency of putting into place distance learning opportunities that are accessible to all of our students, including additional support services for English learners and students with disabilities, while continuing to ensure food security for our highest-need students.

SFUSD is a diverse school district serving over 56,000 students across 119 school sites and provides 37,900 meals daily.

  • 53% of our student population falls near or below poverty
  • More than 12,000 students do not have access to a computer for the required school day of instruction
  • 5,000 students need access to WiFi

The district projects millions of dollars in new unfunded costs due to the COVID-19 pandemic even with state and federal relief packages. To date, we have received 65% of our $6.7 million goal in grants and donations to support the district’s ongoing response.

Your donation today will help us:

  1. Deploy the technology and online instructional infrastructure students and teachers need to deliver distance learning
  2. Continue to provide and distribute meals to an increasing number of students and families who are most in need

Here's how your donation will make an impact:

  • $550 provides an internet hotspot for 5 students
  • $375 provides one student with a Chromebook
  • $113 provides breakfast for 50 students
  • $56 provides lunch for 20 students
  • $28 provides a supper meal for 10 students

Thank you for your support of San Francisco's public school students and families during these challenging times.
