Help us purchase 12 acres of beautiful, rolling woodland adjacent to the Kleinstuck Preserve in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

We have a singular opportunity to protect this property and keep it open to the community forever, to:

  • improve community access to open space
  • preserve mature forest
  • protect nearby drinking water wellfields
  • provide an oasis for urban wildlife
  • increase the size of the Kleinstuck Preserve by 25%

"The preserve provides learning opportunities for our students in a number of ways. We take weekly hikes to not only strengthen our bodies, but also to observe the changes of the seasons. The preserve is a major aspect to our program and spending time in nature is beneficial to those students who may not be exposed otherwise." -Tim Sheldon, Early Learning Director, YMCA of Greater Kalamazoo

Know that our earnest priority is to use these funds to preserve the 12 acres adjacent to the preserve but if the property is acquired before we can preserve it, we will use your donation in our stewardship efforts in the Kleinstuck Preserve.

If you would prefer to make a pledge of support that we will collect in the future, please visit https://tinyurl.com/KKWPledge.
