Yes, And...

by Stomping Ground Comedy Theater and Training Center

Update July 28, 2020:

Friends, with the pandemic raging on, we are projecting a continued shortfall for the next nine months. Rent and other expenses associated with our theater space have not halted, and in some areas have actually increased. So we have upped our goal from $40,000 to $90,000 to save our space and ensure we have a "comedy home" to come back to when it is once again safe to gather. Thank you so much for your support! It means the world to us.

In improv, we learn how to roll with unexpected change and rise to any challenge set before us. And y'all, this virus has definitely thrown us some curve balls.

Like many other small non-profits, since we made the decision to temporarily halt our physical operations early last week, we are already feeling the strain of lost income. And because we are only in our third year of operations, our needs are immediate.

But we've built an awesome and supportive community in these last 3 years, and we know that with your help, we can meet this challenge and thrive long after it's passed.

We have decided to cancel the Aloha Auction event in June. Our energies will be better spent continuing to keep our community connected through comedy by creating fun, new ways for everyone to stay involved virtually. Online classes, meet-ups, and special live-streamed performances are coming your way from the Stomping Ground team, because #LaughingMatters - especially now.

Why Support Stomping Ground?

  • We are an inclusive comedy community that pays its performers, provides Diversity & Accessibility scholarships, and a groundbreaking therapeutic improv program. We are changing lives and continuously making an impact.
  • We did not build this as a 3-year project, we are in it for the long haul. And we need your support now to keep going.
  • If you want to see more diversity on stage, if you value comedy performers getting paid, if you want to see us continue our work with those who have autism, anxiety, Alzheimer's & dementia, as well as with caregivers, please donate today.
  • Hundreds of volunteer hours and hundreds of thousands of dollars have already been invested into the building of this community. We have no owner. We have no bottom line. This organization belongs to all of us.

Our Mission: Stomping Ground educates, entertains, and empowers the community – connecting people through comedy. And we won't stop till everybody's laughing.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for being a part of our family.
