Baobab Home Summer Fundraiser: Maine

by The Baobab Home

Hello Friends!

We are raising money for The Baobab Home, a non-profit primary school, organic farm, and children’s home in Tanzania. We are holding a summer fundraising event as part of their US tour, and it will be held August 6 from 5:00PM - 7:00PM at The Sensory Gym in Farmindale, Maine. Food and beverages are generously provided by The Red Barn and Hannaford. If you live nearby, RSVP here and come by to meet Terri and Caito, the founders of Baobab!

This year Baobab Home celebrates 15 years of serving vulnerable children in Tanzania. We are launching this fundraiser looking for more than just funds. We need to expand our network of donors to ensure we can continue this critical work for the next 15 years.

Over the last 15 years we have:

  • Fed over 250,000 breakfasts to vulnerable children and people living with HIV/AIDS
  • Built homes for 9 families, and facilitated life-changing adoptions and family reunifications
  • Raised 11 wonderful children who had nowhere else to go
  • Built a thriving primary school where 150 students have access to world-class education
  • Created a support group for kids living with HIV/AIDS
  • Helped dozens of kids through secondary school and college
  • Developed our 12- acre renewable energy farm with biogas, solar power, fresh well water, a fish farm, and insect-based organic waste management

We never would have been able to accomplish all that we have without our supportive donors and volunteers around the world. This year we aim to deepen our these roots of support by raising $100,000. By donating or sharing this you can ensure that our school is well-resourced, our staff adequately trained, and, ultimately, that all our kids are given the support they need to thrive.

Please join us, even just $5 a month makes all the difference! And, if you are already giving, consider clicking on the "I Want to Fundraise For This" button located above and invite your friends and family into the Baobab Family.

Asante sana!
