#GivingTuesday

by The Eden Alternative, Inc.

Let’s face it. We live in an ageist society where aging is a process to be feared and Elders are often disrespected, marginalized and pushed to the side. Many nursing homes and congregate living settings operate from an institutional framework where residents are lonely, helpless, and bored. Even someone’s own home can end up feeling like an institution.

The Eden Alternative® has proven it can be different. Around the world, we transform the experience of aging and living with different abilities through a culture of care focused on growth and possibility, rather than limitation and decline. We empower care professionals, families, and the Elders themselves to create caring communities defined by choice, dignity, respect, self-determination and purposeful living. We are a network of inspired influencers and intentional disrupters committed to questioning and transforming how we age, how we grow, and how we build vibrant caring relationships from the nursing home to the neighborhood street.

Our 2018 Global Impact Statement reveals that we impacted the lives of over 100,000 Elders, family members, and care professionals. We have big dreams in 2020 to touch more lives than ever before. We want to deepen and expand our reach by creating new and dynamic ways for individuals and organizations to engage with us and grow through our unique approach to care and support.

And... we can’t do it without you.
