Granby To-Go is a public, non-profit program for the Granby Public Schools community that provides food, resources, and referrals to outreach services to individuals and families. Over 4 years ago, our schools were seeing an increased number of students arriving to school hungry and recognized that addressing food insecurity would benefit students and their families in many ways. Fortunately, we were able to create Granby To-Go under the guidance and support from the Neighbors Helping Neighbors Food Pantry. Up until the pandemic began, Granby To-Go was providing weekly backpacks filled with food, health and beauty aids, clothing, and other resources to students and their families. Unfortunately, our services came to a halt when our buildings were closed, but the community's need was growing. Granby To-Go was able to temporarily relocate and continue providing food to families, thanks to the collaboration of Neighbors Helping Neighbors and the generous support of The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts. As our families suffer continuous loss of life, employment and resources due to the pandemic, The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts has been by our side to ensure our program keeps up with the increasing community need.

Granby To-Go has teamed up with The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts to hold a virtual food drive from March 15th - April 2nd to assist families challenged by food insecurity. The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts has the infrastructure to distribute food in an efficient and safe way in our communities. Due to the pandemic, The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts is not accepting physical food donations at this time for the safety of their staff and the community.

Making a donation to The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts puts money in the hands of a program that has the most purchasing power, enabling them to feed more families efficiently.

Granby To-Go is excited to announce that it will match your donations up to a total of $300 - equivalent to 1,200 meals!

You can also text 'GRANBY2GO' to 44-321 to make a donation.
