After the eradication of the horrible institution of slavery, African Americans suffered hundreds of years of generational trauma due to state-sanctioned racism and structural oppression. In addition, contemporary issues facing Black people, like the mental health needs of veterans, youth in the educational and juvenile justice systems, older adults, and people within the homeless population, are ignored.  Because of this, our communities are in dire need of healing, but require resources and tools for progress. The Mental Wealth Alliance (MWA) is Charlamagne Tha God’s vision to address this pressing and pervasive need.

The mission of the Mental Wealth Alliance (MWA) is to treat, train, and teach—to provide substantial, state of the art mental health services for underserved black communities across the United States.  By leveraging our considerable resources, increasing funding for African American psychologists and mental health providers, and providing free therapy, mental health services, programs, scholarships, and resources— we will eradicate the stigma regarding mental health in black communities.

Mental Wealth Alliance is a project at The Giving Back Fund, a national 501c3 organization with Tax-ID # 04-3367888
