Night Life Line is a crisis relief organization for people in Pittsburgh’s food, beverage & entertainment industry.

Faced with unprecedented need and inadequate relief, local nightlife workers are struggling to make ends meet. Unemployed, underemployed, or stuck in an antiquated Unemployment Compensation system waiting for benefits, our nightlife workers experience the kind of financial insecurity not seen since the Great Depression. Since March 2020, nightlife workers live in a frightening reality where their once steady income vanished. Unfortunately their utility bills, health insurance premiums, rent and mortgage payments remain.

The labor of nightlife workers and independent venue owners fuels economic development and neighborhood revitalization. What would our main streets look like without them?

It’s time to offer our nightlife workers the lifeline they need.

Our goal is to raise $250,000 through the winter and spring of 2021, and to use these funds to help our community of performers, hospitality workers, and production staff.  In order for workers to apply, we hope to raise $50,000 so we can quickly distribute these funds to the first round of awardees.  With your help, we will be able to fly past our goal of $50,000 raised and move towards our second round goal of $100,000.
