Previous Description: Bouchet Elementary is a predominantly Black school on the south side of Chicago. Currently, majority of the students do not meet or exceed state standards. Education Emancipation aims to change that by working with the students, families, and administration at Bouchet. The students and faculty have stated that in-school laptops will deeply enhance their educational experience. To make this dream a reality we need $25,000 which is why we need your help. We believe that every child, regardless of their intersections, deserves an equitable education, because education is freedom. In a time when our government will not offer this freedom, we aim to free ourselves.

Update: The I Project is currently working on securing laptops for Bouchet through unconventional resources, as it is not feasible to purchase 400 Chromebook with $25,000, or raise the money needed for that purchase. All funds raised for the Education Emancipation campaign benefit the campaign in general, and our efforts to advocate for educational equity, create educational programming for schools to use, and attain other unconventional resources for schools. We'd like to thank everyone who has supported us on this journey as young activists and NGO leaders.
