People-Powered Challenge 2019

by The Laundromat Project

Help The Laundromat Project raise $50,000 in 10 days (Oct 26 - Nov 4) to support artists and neighbors creating change in their own communities!

The Laundromat Project is an arts organization that advances artists and neighbors as change agents throughout New York City. We make art and culture in community while fostering leadership among our neighbors through our celebrated Create Change Artist Residency and Fellowship program and our creative community-building initiatives across New York City.

Here's how you can get involved:

  • Make a donation. Any amount helps!
  • Become a People Mover! Click on the "I want to fundraise for this" button and commit to asking 10 people or more to give during the 10 days of the campaign.
  • Host a party and ask your friends to support The LP! Raise money as a team or group.
  • Amplify the campaign by sharing it on social media.

About the campaign:

The People-Powered Challenge is The LP’s annual 10-day peer-to-peer campaign where we fundraise through the collective power of our friends, family, neighbors, and social networks to support artists and neighbors who are committed to societal change. This campaign strengthens our communities by getting supporters, new and old, to invest in our work with us.

This year at The LP, we have delved into abundance as a pathway to imagine more for ourselves and our communities. Our creative visions, ideas, and actions can fuel new ways of making positive change in the world. Through abundance, we know that we are many, we are more than enough, and that our communities encompass all we need to work towards an equitable future.

Building on this theme, during this years challenge we will explore how we MOVE ourselves and our communities to create change. From dance and action, to imagining and building. What will MOVE you this year?

Together we know that we can reach our goal! Thank you for your support!

In community,

The LP Team
