Almost 20,000 residents in North Lawndale and Little Village have less than a high school diploma or its equivalent; demand for our services remains high.

Your gift will allow The Learning Center to help adult learners increase their literacy levels, attain a high school equivalency credential, and find productive employment to rebuild their lives and, ultimately, their communities.

Your contribution today will help TLC provide:

  • A High School Equivalency class to Royshell who needs to pass the GED test for a higher-paying position at his job.
  • An English as a Second Language class to Lucy who needs to communicate with her child’s elementary school teacher.
  • Computer Literacy classes to Reggie, an unemployed father who needs to create a resume.
  • Transportation assistance to Tommie, a grandmother who has difficulties walking to class.
  • Educational and cultural field trips throughout the City of Chicago to the young men and women who have never stepped foot outside North Lawndale and Little Village.
  • Daily nutritious breakfasts and lunches to those whose only meal of the day is at TLC.

We simply can't do it without you! With your support, you can help rebuild a stronger, healthier, and more vibrant community.

Thank you for your continued support and friendship.
