The LGBT Network has always been committed to providing critical and lifesaving services to those who need it most and we must do it now for more people than ever before. There are thousands of people depending on us and we are a first responder for our community. The LGBT community has faced tough and difficult times throughout our history and we have never walked away and we have persevered.

Today more LGBTQ people and families our in need of support. Our recent community impact survey showed that:

  • 67% of LGBT people are expressing depression due to isolation.
  • 42% of LGBT people are fighting anxiety.
  • Over 25% of LGBT people are facing immediate financial hardship.
  • 25% of LGBT people identify as immune-suppressed. 
  • Over 30% of LGBT people cannot treat other health conditions due to COVID-19.
  • 13% of LGBT people are challenged by taking care of a loved one. 
  • Nearly 1/3 of LGBT people are facing food insecurities. 
  • 1 in 5 LGBT people have immediate housing needs.  

With your support, the New York LGBTQ Care Fund will ensure essential services and support are provided throughout our entire region for those who need them the most. The New York LGBTQ Care fund will ensure vital mental health services and job assistance programs and will also help to fund a new food bank program for LGBTQ people living in Queens and Long Island.
