We invite you to take an evening to relax and Escape to Oz – at our first annual Halloween Gala on October 17th!
It will be an event you will remember. A night to support, commemorate and celebrate with your local LGBT+ Center. Your participation supports our core programs such as HIV services and prevention, Trans services, and our Youth Leadership Academy. We are looking at reduced grant funding and event revenue in 2021, so part of our solution is you attending the gala.
Here's what you can earn by fundraising:
Everyone who fundraises $125 will earn a spot at our online gala, which includes a food pickup option and other surprises! If you fundraise more than $125, you can earn additional prizes based off of the size of your team!

What if I don’t live in Visalia? Can I join and will food be provided?
Yes, it wouldn’t be a party without you! We’ll figure out a food option for you, too! We aren’t sure what it is, but we’ll work something out: probably either a gift card for a local vendor or some sort of delivery!
What if I have more than eight members in my team?
You know about popular!!!! The more the merrier! We’ll make things fair! We’ll adjust your fundraising goal amounts based off of the individual fundraiser, team of four, or team of eight amounts depending on how many people you add to your team, whichever amounts benefit you the most. If you have nine people, you’ll earn nine tickets to the gayla at $1,125 and nine entries into the Vegas raffle at $6,000. If you have twelve people, you’ll earn twelve tickets to the gayla at $1,500 and twelve Vegas raffle tickets at $9,000.
If I have two people (or another number that doesn’t fit the team amounts posted), what happens?
We’ll make it fair! We’ll adjust based off of the individual fundraiser goal amounts unless that number exceeds the next team (the team of four or the team of eight) level’s amounts. In that case, we’ll use the next team level’s goals (i.e. if your team of six raises $5,000, we’ll give you all of the prizes since that would be enough for a team of eight to earn all of the prizes).
What happens if alien murder hornets or some other unexpected 2020 disaster apocalypse cancels the event?
We’ll do our best to reschedule and make things fair because we want to appreciate you for your contributions. Because we are a non-profit, we can’t refund donations.
What happens if I cannot attend the Gayla?
The party wasn’t the same without you and we missed you! We’ll figure out a way for you to pickup your prizes when The Source is open, but we cannot refund any donations.
Will the event be recorded?
While there may be pictures taken during the event, and while the event might be recorded for our own archives, we do not plan to publicly release a recording of the event.
