TFI Emergency Artist Support Fund

We have seen the devastating economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the creative industry. Independent filmmakers and creators, many of whom are losing income due to canceled events and freelance work, are facing financial hardship.

Though we are winding down our current operations, Tribeca Film Institute continues to stand by our global community of artists in this exceptional time of need through the TFI Emergency Artist Support Fund. This fund has already provided rapid relief of over $42,000 to 46 TFI alumni who lost jobs or freelance opportunities between March 15 - April 30, 2020.

With your help, we can continue providing this relief until our final staff members depart in September. We hope to provide a second round of funds to artists who have lost work since March 15, 2020.

TFI alums are integral to local and global communities. They are documentary filmmakers, scripted storytellers, immersive creators, journalists, activists, and experimental artists on the front lines of innovation and change. They open our minds and hearts for the betterment of society. They tell the stories that help us make sense of the tragedies of this world -- tragedies like the ones we are all experiencing right now. Please consider opening your wallets for the betterment of their lives.

Your donation makes all the difference. Thank you.

*TFI will support as many of our alums as we are able, however, we cannot yet commit to supporting every TFI alum in need. We do not know how far our resources will stretch.
