Women are arriving this week for fistula surgery at St. Francis Hospital Buluba.

For those who receive a successful repair, recovery doesn’t end at the hospital. Many return home to situations where rest is not possible, and the pressure to resume manual work too soon can put their recovery at risk.

To address this, we offer women the opportunity to participate in our reintegration program immediately after discharge. They receive counseling, practical skills training, and support to begin simple, income-generating activities that allow them to recover safely.

Following this camp, we will identify up to 10 women most at risk of returning to unsafe conditions and support them through this program.
