We are all looking for ways to help our friends, neighbors and family members as COVID-19 enters our communities and impacts the lives of the people living here.

The mission of United Way of Aroostook is to mobilize resources to improve the lives of the people in our communities.  In response, United Way of Aroostook  set up the COVID-19 Response Fund for Aroostook County. 100% of all money collected has gone directly to our community.

Funds weree distributed by United Way to nonprofit partners working directly with those affected by COVID-19. We have been able to distribute thousands of dollars around Aroostook County.  Now that programs have been created we are heading in to our recovery phase and the funds will now be used for programs and partners to recover from the effects of COVID-19.

If you are in need of information about COVID-19 the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Maine CDC) and 211 Maine announced yesterday a new option for Mainers to get answers to questions about COVID-19 at any time. This service is available by dialing 211 (or 1-866-811-5695), texting your ZIP code to 898-211, or emailing info@211maine.org . They are here to help, we encourage you to reach out.

Live United  It’s a credo. A mission. A goal. A constant reminder that when we reach out a hand to one, we influence the condition of all. We build the strength of our neighborhoods. We bolster the health of our communities. And we change the lives of those who walk by us every day.
