Nationwide, United Way’s across the country are mobilizing resources to provide support where it is most needed. United Way of Greater Fall River (UWGFR) is joining philanthropic and business partners with community agencies to offer an organized response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Those wishing to support ongoing efforts in the Greater Fall River area are encouraged to donate to the UWGFR COVID-19 Relief Fund to streamline fundraising efforts through a trusted and local community partner.

All donations will be earmarked for COVID-19 Relief and Recovery Efforts. Together, with United Way of Greater New Bedford, and the Community Foundation, United Way of Greater Fall River will work diligently to assess and respond to the needs of the SouthCoast community. Once community-level needs have been determined, distributions will focus on supporting those needs in the most efficient and effective manner possible.

We are communicating daily with United Way Worldwide, MASS 2-1-1 and partner agencies to be sure we are responding in an immediate and flexible way as the needs of our community evolve. We encourage community members to dial MASS 2-1-1 for non-emergency matters and to learn more about local resources. Callers may experience longer wait times than usual due to the increase in call volume. We ask for your patience and assure you that all calls will be returned as quickly as possible.
