Food pantry and soup kitchen programs serve many people with multiple medical issues, and due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many have become home-bound. There is an urgent need for food pantries to deliver to these home-bound people. The number of people needing deliveries will only increase, and there are currently very limited resources to make deliveries in New Haven. The Pantry to Pantry Food Delivery Program (P2P) helps fill this gap.

In a collaboration with several community partners, the Coordinated Food Assistance Network (CFAN) has set up the Pantry to Pantry Food Delivery Program: Delivering from Food Pantries to Your Pantry.

While there is much work happening right now, there is more work to be done. With the anticipated need expected to increase dramatically, this program needs funding to expand and continue to serve the community.
