Maintaining the Walloon Lake watershed’s pristine land and water quality requires significant effort and costs each year.

With membership dues only providing ten percent of our annual revenue, we rely on the generosity of donors like you to sustain our wonderful watershed. Our annual Guardian Fund appeal is our yearly campaign to raise the essential funds needed to implement our mission. Your support provides crucial efforts and programming like:

The installation and maintenance of 4 boat wash stations on Walloon Lake, water quality testing, safety buoy placement, water user education, and governmental advocacy
Stewardship of 54 public nature preserves and 20 private conservation easements, with over 2,300 acres permanently protected, and 25 miles of non-motorized trail maintained
Sustainable recreation awareness campaigns, including “Move Your Wake, Respect the Lake” and “Sound Down”
Impactful community engagement efforts: guided hikes, environmental stewardship workshops, and conservation-focused speaker events
