$26K goal met! We made it to our stretch goal but your additional support can help this campaign go even further in supporting WIT through the pandemic until we can get back to making magic happen in person.

Now through December 31, all donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar. This means that your year-end gift today will go twice as far to spread joy and connection when we all need it the most.

2020 has been the toughest year ever for WIT financially. Normally, in-person classes and shows account for about 75% of our revenue, but this year, that number has dropped to 25%. Every gift from friends like you truly makes a difference!

With the cancellation of in-person activities, we're relying on donated funds for 75% of our operating budget. Your support fuels our work to bring joy across DC (and now across the world).

  • Enabled 300+ people to experience improv through our virtual Improv for All program. Participants have come from 29 states plus DC and Puerto Rico and as far off as India and Costa Rica.
  • Helped program shows like Hold Up, People of the District, and POTUS Among Us resulting in the engagement of 100+ artists and thousands of virtual audience members.
  • Provided a valuable lifeline to our community by creating opportunities for play and connection in our online classes and WIT@Work trainings for organizations like Food and Friends and the international anti-poverty organization CARE.
