Founded in June of 2019, WCLRR is a 501(c)(3) all-volunteer non-profit with the expressed mission of rescuing Labrador and Golden Retrievers in the Southern California area. We save our dogs from various sources such as local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and cooperation with local breeders.

WCLRR’s dogs have been featured on the Hallmark Channel’s “Home and Family Show” several times. We believe all of us can work together toward a common goal; saving the lives of dogs.

Our adoption program is comprehensive and includes in-home interviews, veterinarian visits, spay and neuter, all shots, fecal exams, microchips, a unique “lost and found” system, and for our older dogs, blood work. We’ve partnered with professional trainers to help us evaluate or smooth out some of the rough edges.

Our goal is to make adoption from WCLRR a pleasant and rewarding experience for everyone involved.
