Rotary is a global network of 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.

Our local Wilmette Rotary Foundation works with and supports service organizations to promote literacy, prevent disease, keep women and children healthy, provide education and economic outcomes, create safe water and sanitation infrastructure, and make our community and the world a safer and more peaceful place.

Specific projects include building wells for schools in Angola, providing ultrasound equipment and training to remote areas of Uganda, supporting refugee resettlement efforts through Compass and Northwestern University, and community service projects to address literacy, homelessness, housing, hunger and health.
