This year marks Woodhull's 10th Annual Sexual Freedom Summit, or, as we call it, our 10th Summitversary. Each year at the Sexual Freedom Summit, we come together to celebrate, to plan, to strategize, and to build alliances with individuals and organizations to the face the political battles ahead.

In celebration of the 10th Summitversary, we are launching the Community Access Fund with an initial goal of raising $10,000 to support a more accessible Sexual Freedom Summit.

The Community Access Fund will provide the financial resources to support Woodhull's accessibility initiatives, including:

  • Providing registration scholarships to applicants who couldn't otherwise afford to attend the Sexual Freedom Summit
  • Offering lodging scholarships for partner organizations
  • Expanding the availability of ASL interpretation throughout the Summit
  • Producing Summit schedules in Braille
  • Furthering the recommendations of the Summit Accessibility Committee

When we reach our $10,000 goal we'll be able to provide:

  • Some lodging for our 2019 partner organization
  • Registration scholarships to volunteers
  • ASL interpretation at one of our full-day Summit Institutes

Reaching our stretch goal of $12,910 will additionally allow us to:

  • Offer ASL interpretation at one additional full-day Summit Institute
  • Print and provide Summit schedules in Braille
  • Provide 5 additional Summit scholarships

Woodhull Freedom Foundation knows that our work affirming sexual freedom is only effective when it amplifies the voices of the most marginalized among us. For this to be possible the Sexual Freedom Summit must be accessible to and inclusive of low-income folks, people with disabilities, sex workers, communities of color, indigenous people, and folks from multiple marginalized communities.

We have not always done this perfectly, but we are committed to listening, learning, and continuing to make the Sexual Freedom Summit a space for all sexuality activists, educators, and advocates to be in community together and to be reminded that there is hope in working alongside one another.

As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, Woodhull Freedom Foundation's mission and work is made possible thanks to individual donors, foundations, philanthropic businesses, and YOU.

Thank you for making the 10th Summitversary a more accessible space for everyone. Together, we're creating a world where sexual freedom is recognized as a fundamental human right.
