Yoga Foster has been making wellness elementary in schools for the past five years – and hasn’t yet invested in a brand marketing campaign. This summer, we want to bring our work on tour, and visit major yoga cities across the U.S. to raise awareness and resources for our work.
From June 21 – August 23, we’ll drive cross-country to collect gently-used yoga mats for our work, and distribute to schools. This initiative will bring together yoga studios, yoga retailers, schools, families and communities around our capacity to make wellness more accessible, and foster healthier, happier schools.
What better vehicle to showcase our work than a school bus?! But sourcing a school bus isn’t easy – especially one that’s equipped for storytelling and conversation.
But then we met the team at Pathos, a nonprofit that aims to elevate stories of marginalized people across America. They happen to have a school bus outfitted for just this need, that just happens to be available for rent. With a faux green wall, ample space for meetings, and a recording studio in the near, this vintage Blue Bird bus will act as our home along the way.
We’re showing up in ten cities to share our work and show our impact. Here’s some of the events we’re stopping by:
* International Yoga Day in NYC
* ISTE Philly
* Wanderlust Denver
* SHAPE America Professional Development Institute
Throughout the tour, we'll create a documentary of our work over the past five years.
Our goal is to hire a creative storyteller in each market that can tell the story of Yoga Foster through their own medium. The Yoga Foster Creative Fellowship program will ensure that this story elevates the voice and visions of each community, rather than the perspective of our team. We aim to host a dinner in each market to feature the work of the market – and a closing event in our last market to showcase the work collectively.
We’re currently confirming a press / PR organization who can help us bring this activation to life.
