A is For presents the third annual all it takes is ONE ACT, a festival of one-act plays about reproductive justice.

The all it takes is ONE ACT Festival will feature readings of the winning plays from A is For’s 2023 Playwriting Contest. The judges of this year's Playwriting Contest include: Bear Bellinger, Brooke Berman, Christian Parker, Dahlia Lithwick, Jennifer Lim, Leigh Silverman, and Tracia Banuelos-Rovaris.
Saturday, December 9th
11:00am - 3rd Place: [the feminine urge to disappear] by Anna Watts, directed by Claire Karpen
5:00pm - 2nd Place: Cath Carroll by Ken Urban, directed by Knud Adams.
Sunday, December 10th
6:00pm - 1st Place: the wish: a manual for a last-ditch effort to save abortion in the united states through theater, directed by Lisa Rothe

There will be a moderated talkback with the playwright(s) after each reading.
Tickets to the all it takes is ONE ACT Festival are $10 per play. As an important, mission driven program, A is For strives to make this event accessible to all who want to see it, regardless of ability to pay. If you would like to attend, but are not able to pay, please contact us (an email address is listed below) so that your entrance can be paid for by our generous sponsors.
