Boys & Girls Club of Aberdeen Area Vehicle Raffle

TERMS. These are the official rules of the Boys & Girls Club of Aberdeen Area (“BGCAA”) raffle giveaway (“Raffle”). By participating in the Contest, each entrant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of BGCAA, which shall be final and binding in all respects. BGCAA is responsible for the overall administration of the Contest. BGCAA reserves the right to alter or change Contest rules at any time. Restrictions, conditions, and limitations may apply. All BGCAA decisions are final.
1. Prizes. BGCAA will give away the following:
Grand Prize: 2025 Ford Bronco, Sport, Big Bend, 4x4 – MSRP $36,205
** Pierson Ford will offer a cash “buyback” of $20,000, if not interested in the vehicle **
The Grand Prize will be awarded to the entrant holding the winning Raffle ticket. BGCAA reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to award a substitute prize of equal or greater value if the prizes described in these Official Rules are unavailable or cannot be awarded, in whole or in part, for any reason. If the actual value of the prizes turns out to be less than the stated value, the difference will not be awarded in cash. BGCAA will not replace any lost or stolen prize items. Prize winner are solely responsible for all federal, state, local, and other taxes on the prizes.
2. Duration. The Raffle runs from Friday, February 13, 2026 through Tuesday, September 8, 2026 (“Entry Period”).
3. Eligibility. The Raffle is open to all individuals who are 18 years of age or older on September 8, 2026. BGCAA or any businesses handling ticket sales are not responsible for late, lost, damaged, incomplete, misdirected, illegible or mutilated entries. The winner must show proof of identity with a photo ID to claim the prize. The winner need not be present to win. BGCAA reserves the right to rescind any prize award or remove an entry if the entrant does not meet the eligibility requirements or if the entry or winning ticket has been altered. BGCAA is the sole owner and determiner of the Raffle design.
4. Entry. An entrant may purchase a Raffle ticket at BGCAA, or any of the locations where the Grand Prize will be located during the Entry Period. Each Raffle ticket earns one chance to win the Grand Prize. There is no limit on the number of Raffle tickets each person may purchase. Purchasing multiple tickets will improve your chance of winning the prize.
5. Selection. Raffle winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the Entry Period. The Raffle drawing will take place September 8, 2026, at the BGCAA address listed above. A BGCAA designated representatives will draw the winning ticket. The odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received, but will not greater than 1:1,000. The first ticket drawn will be for the Grand Prize. Winner will be notified by phone or email within two days of the random drawing. BGCAA is not responsible for, and may disqualify an entrant if, the entrant's phone or email does not work or is changed. BGCAA may declare any prize forfeited if the winner does not respond to the award notification within 30 days or if the award notification is returned as undeliverable. Upon such forfeiture, BGCAA will select an alternate winner from the eligible entries. If a potential winner is determined ineligible because of a violation of these Official Rules, then such winner will be disqualified, and BGCAA will select another ticket from the eligible entries as the prize winner. No substitution or transfer of a prize is permitted except by BGCAA. The prize winner must agree in writing that BGCAA may, without compensation, publish, display, or otherwise use the winner's name, photograph, or other likeness or statement concerning the Raffle for purposes of advertising and promotion.
6. Redemption. The Grand Prize winner will redeem the Grand Prize at Pierson Ford after the Raffle drawing as scheduled by BGCAA. The Grand Prize winner must complete the title application and other required paperwork at that time.
7. Disputes. Except where prohibited, all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrants and the Raffle entities will be governed by, and construed in accordance with South Dakota law. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.
8. Winners List. To obtain a copy of any legally required winners list, send the request and a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Contest Winners List Request, Boys & Girls Club of Aberdeen Area, 1121 1st Ave SE, Aberdeen, SD 57401.
9. Tax Deductibility. The Raffle ticket purchase price is NOT tax deductible.
10. Participants. All BGCAA staff, board members, affiliated businesses, and volunteers selling Raffle tickets may participate in the Raffle and buy as many Raffle tickets as they like provide each of them comply with these Official Rules. TAX RULES
Vehicle - 2025 Ford Bronco, Sport, Big Bend, 4x4, (VIN# 3FMCR9BN0SRF32122) • For non-cash prizes, the winner pays 25% of the fair market value of the prize minus the amount of the wager. Taxes are submitted to the organization (BGCAA) to be submitted to the IRS.
IRS Notice 1340 Reporting Requirements for Non-profit Organizations
• BGCAA will submit the 25% tax to the IRS via Form W-2G
• Fair Market Value = $29,974 - $100 ticket cost = $29,874
• $29,874 x 25% = $7,468.50 tax due before taking possession
of the vehicle
