Advancing Real Change (ARC), Inc. works to ensure that high-quality life history investigations are conducted on behalf of indigent clients who are at risk of receiving extreme sentences such as the death penalty or juveniles facing life in prison. The aim is to provide a detailed picture of a defendant's life so that decision-makers such as prosecutors, judges, and juries base their judgments on a view of the accused as a whole person, not just on the worst set of facts available. ARC, Inc.’s work includes conducting casework, consulting with defense teams in need of assistance, and providing training to teach defenders across the country the techniques for collecting and presenting such evidence.

Eat, Drink, and Do Justice is an opportunity to join the staff and Board members of ARC, Inc.  for an informal reception and to learn more about how they work toward their vision for a justice system that is rooted in the values of empathy, mercy, and equity.

Generously hosted by Hogan Lovells

Refreshments will be served.
