It’s time to tee up for CASA! CASA of the Sabine Neches Region is excited to host the 1st Annual CASA Classic Golf Tournament on April 25, 2020, at the renowned Wildwood Golf Course in Village Mills, TX. More than a round of golf, participants and sponsors play an instrumental role in providing trained Court Appointed Special Advocate volunteers for children and youth who have been victims of abuse, neglect, and abandonment. We look forward to a very successful golf tournament as we continue to challenge ourselves to address the crisis in our child welfare system and to be able to serve every child in Orange, Hardin, Jasper, Newton, Tyler and Sabine Counties that has been a victim of abuse or neglect.
Why CASA of the Sabine Neches Region?
Last year, in our six counties, more than 700 children lived in protective care because they could not live safely at home. CASA of the Sabine Neches Region is a non-profit organization that trains and supervises community volunteers to gather information and make recommendations to help judges decide the best outcome for each child. Sadly, less than 60% of abused children have CASA voices to speak for them. Our goal is for every abused and neglected child to have a CASA volunteer to advocate for his or her best interests and help each child grow up in a safe and loving home.
