Following the great success of our first ever virtual holiday concert, the Arizona Repertory Singers are back at it again with a new virtual concert, "I Can See the Light." This program features music to inspire in the darkest of times. From Eliza Gilkyson's "Requiem," which shows us the insurmountable grief of the Asian Tsunami in 2004 and Hurricane Katrina in 2005, to Dolly Parton's "Light of a Clear Blue Morning," we remember all we can overcome and how light always shines through the darkness. We also find the awe-inspiring beauty of the outdoors, faith, and the sounds of music, which precedes a trio of love songs that unearths the process of love and loss. Mingled amongst choral works are a vivacious piano solo by our accompanist, Trissina Kear, and a guitar quartet by our director, Ryan Phillips. Please join us for what is sure to be an invigorating and sustaining program.
