Art from Ashes is hosting a pairs speed puzzle competition to raise funds for struggling youth in the community (with a sponsorship by Eeboo)!

For 23 years, Art from Ashes (AfA) has been empowering under-resourced youth by providing creative programs that facilitate health and hope through poetry and spoken word. AfA is the first youth arts agency in Colorado to use a process of creative expression specifically designed to integrate art and neurology to encourage resiliency among a youth population with few resources and limited exposure to the arts. Through our curriculum, youth learn to express themselves, connect with other youth and caring adults, and transform their stories from trauma to self-worth.

Pairs Speed Puzzle Competition

START TIME: 10:00 am, check-in starts at 9:30 am

LOCATION: Art from Ashes’ Office - 1310 W 10th Ave, Denver, CO

COST: $40/pair for standard entry

WHO CAN JOIN: This event is for all ages, and the puzzle is a family-friendly image. 1-2 people per puzzle. 

TIME LIMIT: There is a 2 hour time limit to complete a 500 piece puzzle.

PARKING: There is street parking with a 2 hour limit. The Art from Ashes office is located 1 block from the RTD light rail Osage Station.

Please add your teammate and team/pair name to the comments/note box at checkout!

There will be a table set up for puzzle swaps. Please ensure that all puzzles have no missing pieces.

There will be announcements, a youth poetry performance, and then a short countdown to start the puzzle competition. 

Puzzles will be concealed in a bag before beginning. DO NOT OPEN (NO PEEKING) until the time has started. Once the competition has started, all competitors will race to complete their puzzles as fast as possible. 

Prizes will be awarded for the top three teams. All competitors get to keep the puzzle.

No refunds. If you cannot attend, please email the organizer and you can still receive your puzzle at a later time.

Box Top Holders and sorting trays of any size and quantity are allowed. Extra lighting or recording devices are okay as long as it does not interfere with other competitors, and they do not need to be plugged in.
