AI data centers are popping up across the state faster than most towns can react — draining water, straining the power grid, and reshaping overburdened neighborhoods with minimal public review or notice. Communities aren't waiting around: more than 100 municipalities have already passed or proposed local ordinances banning or restricting these facilities.

Join Stephen Elliott, Director of Watershed Programs at Pinelands Alliance, Pete Wristbridge, Waterford EC Chair, and ANJEC Staff to learn how your town can be next.  We'll cover how Environmental Commissions can help initiate an ordinance. We will take action to support communities where data centers are violating the law and putting communities at risk. We will also take action to collectively build support for a three-year statewide moratorium on new large-scale data center approvals and construction — a pause needed to evaluate the environmental, energy, and public health risks before irreversible decisions get made.
