The Old Village Witches Ride is a “FUN”draiser created to amplify bad witches doing good. With a nod to tradition and a dash of whimsy, witches of the Old Village will come together on Saturday, October 19th to ride their brooms from Church Street to Goblet Avenue. In our witchy attire, we will toss candy to hungry goblins. The ride will culminate with a block party featuring live music, food, and fellowship with witches and warlocks.
This year’s supreme witch is Diana Garrett, who has selected Bardet-Biedl Syndrome (BBS) Foundation and Family Association as our charity. Diana is dedicated to increasing awareness about BBS as well as raising funds for research and outreach in honor of her son, Henry. BBS is a rare genetic disease characterized by visual impairment, obesity, polydactyly (extra fingers and toes), hypogonadism, kidney malfunctions, and learning disabilities.
You can join our coven of bad witches doing good by sponsoring the witches ride, registering to be a witch, attending the block party, or donating. Let’s fly!
