30 Hour Child Care Basics STARS Training - Hybrid
Meet WA state DEL Licensing requirements for new staff in a fun, engaging atmosphere. This in-person training is suitable for centers, family child care, and school-age programs. Topics covered: minimum licensing requirements; planned daily activities and routines; child guidance and behavior management methods; child abuse and neglect prevention, detection, and reporting; health policies and procedures; safe sleep practices; cultural relevancy; age and developmentally appropriate practices for specific age groups. All classes are held in our training room.
8am - 3:30pm each day
February 29 and March 14, 2020
Work outside of class time is required.
Students must attend all classes to receive credit and be eligible for reimbursement. There will be no make-up assignments offered. If a class is missed, it must be made up in the next series offered. Please give yourself enough time to find parking and get to the building on time. We will provide some light snacks, water, coffee and tea, but plan on bringing your lunch. The Main Market Co-op is across the street and there are other eateries nearby, but time for lunch will be limited.
