The Boulder Climbing Community is excited to partner with She Sends Collective to offer women and gender queer folks an opportunity to get involved in stewarding Front Range climbing areas by becoming part of BCC's Anchor Replacement Program (ARP).
The ARP is made up of trained individuals who replace fixed anchors along the Front Range using hardware and tools provided by the BCC. The ARP consists of a 3-part training program as outlined below.
ARP Part 1- This training is available online and consists of bolt replacement history and hardware identification followed by a short quiz.
ARP Part 2- This is the hands on, on the ground training and will cover proper bolt placement, bolt removal for various bolt types, and anchor configuration setup. BCC will provide all hardware and tools.
ARP Part 3- This will involve shadowing an experienced rebolter during a BCC Rebolting event in order to get more hands on training and opportunity to learn rope skills and tricks.
After completing the ARP training curriculum, participants will participate in a special She Sends Collective Rebolting day on June 10th in Boulder Canyon where we will work to upgrade various routes.
