No one likes poop at the crag
. The BCC stocks wag bag stations in popular climbing areas across the Front Range, so our crags can stay poop-free. We're holding a relay race to show you where these stations are, and to have some fun and support local stewardship while we're at it!
Here's the scoop. We have three different zones where most of our wag bags stations are - The Flatirons (3 stations), Eldorado Canyon (4 stations), and Clear Creek Canyon (4 stations). We're working with Rock and Resole and Earth Treks Golden to stash some schwag in these wag bag stations for the first few folks to retrieve. On top of that, if you visit one station, you earn a point. If you complete a circuit, you earn 5 points. If you complete all three circuits, you earn 20 points. Each point gets you an entry to win a brand new pair of shoes of your choice (climbing or approach) from Rock and Resole! Below is a map with the location of each wag bag station in the circuits.
Registration and Participation: All you have to do beforehand is register for free here, and be a current member of the Boulder Climbing Community (or joint member through the Access Fund). There's an option to make a donation when you register if you'd like, though it's not required :) Not a member? Sign up HERE. It's only $20 for the whole year and you get some great perks!
Anyone who participates, whether you get there in time for schwag or not (help yourself to a wag bag of course), should take a photo of themselves at each stop so we know how many points you earned. Post your photos on your social media feed or story, tag the Boulder Climbing Community, Rock and Resole, and Earth Treks Golden, and use the hashtag #BCC10WeekChallenge. Don't have social media? Just email the photos to outreach@boulderclimbers.org. The schwag will be stashed starting at 5:30PM on Tuesday, and we will accept point submissions through the end of the day on Friday.
