Concert: Sounds of Turkiye and the Global Garden
Featuring Ize Trio and Burcu Güleç
A special concert featuring virtuoso Turkish vocalist Burcu Güleç and the acclaimed Ize Trio consisting of Chase Morrin, Naseem Alatrash, and George Lernis. This program will focus on traditional and popular Turkish songs as well as original repertoire, highlighting the global and collaborative spirit of musicians worldwide.

About the Musicians
Chase Morrin (piano): Originally from San Diego, Chase is known for his projects like Gapi, the Music Alliance Project, and a concerto with the Louisville Orchestra. He has won 4 ASCAP awards 10 Downbeat awards and currently teaches at the Berklee Global Jazz Institute.
Naseem Alatrash (cello): Originally from Palestine, Naseem is internationally recognized for his expertise in Middle Eastern music, classical, and jazz. He is a member of Tuttle Island Quartet and plays with Terrance Blanchard, Danilo Perez, and Amir ElSaffar.
George Lernis (percussion): Originally from Cyprus, Greece, George is known for his innovative and hybrid approach to Eastern Mediterranean percussion. He has played with people like John Patticuci, Dave Liebman, Danilo Perez and Antonio Sanchez, and is the president of Anatoliama.
Burcu Güleç (voice): Originally from Türkiye, Burcu (now known by many as Heiraza) is a virtuosic vocalist who studied at New England Conservatory and Hacettepe University and has performed at many festivals internationally. She is known for her unique blend of traditional music, jazz, classical, and electronic.
