This live, in-person gathering at NeueHouse Madison Square (110 E 25th St.) will feature a dialogue between Breea Willingham, PhD, and Clarence Jefferson Hall, Jr., PhD, facilitated by Andre Ward, Associate Vice President of the David Rothenberg Center for Public Policy at the Fortune Society. The panelists will engage our themes of prisons, place, and power through their professional pursuits and personal histories, reaching across difference and divides to find points of resonance.
We will honor special guests Keri Blakinger, award-winning journalist and author of Corrections in Ink; New York State Senator Julia Salazar, Chair of the Committee on Crime and Correction; New York State Assembly Member David Weprin, Chair of the Committee on Correction; the Honorable Rena Uviller, retired justice for the New York County Supreme Court, Criminal Term and former CANY Board Secretary; and Candida Brooks-Harrison, LCSW, Director of The Village Enrichment Associates. The event will also highlight and celebrate high-impact pro bono contributions to CANY’s work by Ashurst LLP, Cozen O'Connor PC, PennPAC, Starfish, and Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP.
