Register for CUP’s first ever How We Made This, a new event series exploring how CUP projects get made.

Four years ago, CUP collaborated with Deborah Lolai, Supervising Attorney at the Bronx Defenders' LGBTQ Defense Project, and designers D Wang Shi Zhao and Chloe Chang to create Your Truth Your Rights, an illustrated resource to support trans and gender nonconforming (TGNC) people to understand their gender-affirming rights in New York City jails and prisons.

Join us for a conversation with members of the project team to take a look back at how the final design for the project came together!

What to expect:

  • a great conversation with Your Truth, Your Rights project collaborators
  • a chance to ask questions to the project team
  • a free copy of Your Truth Your Rights
  • an art activity with Your Truth Your Rights illustrator D Wang Shi Zhao
  • tunes, snacks, drinks
  • to hang out with CUP staff
  • browse CUP projects for purchase

Registration is free and required to attend. A suggested donation of $20 is greatly appreciated. All proceeds go towards our new, upcoming collaboration with the Bronx Defenders and designer Marisa Hetzler to explain the rights of Transgender, Gender Nonconforming, Intersex, and Nonbinary people in NYC shelters.
